In Place Jussieu, near the Sorbonne University in Paris, a raven is rummaging through a trash can, looking for food. At the bottom of the can there’s a cardboard box topped with a clear plastic lid. The raven can see there’s food there, but despite his fierce attempts at it he can’t arrive at piercing the plastic. How can the box be opened so he can get to the food? In the end the raven is struck by a revolutionary idea and even gifts us with a life lesson: work to live, don’t live to work.
